The Fall River Board of Assessors will hold an official meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in the City Council Hearing Room on the first floor of Government Center, located at One Government Center in Fall River. The session is scheduled to run until 2 p.m., though the end time is subject to change.
On the agenda
- Open meeting Law Advisory M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 20(f) — The Board will acknowledge or review the Open Meeting Law Advisory requirements under state law.
- Approve minutes & Executive Session minutes of the June 17, 2026 meeting and August 24, 2026 meeting — The Board will review and vote to approve the regular and executive session minutes from their June 17, 2026 and August 24, 2026 meetings.
- Invoice Proof List — The Board will review the invoice proof list.
- Monthly Report — The Board will review its monthly report.
- Executive Session — The Board will enter executive session to discuss abatements and exemptions as well as Appellate Tax Board (ATB) matters.
- Approve Statutory Exemptions — The Board will consider and vote on approving statutory tax exemptions.
- Department Of Revenue letter of Authorization for Dan Lane for permission to sign in Gateway — The Board will address a Department of Revenue authorization letter permitting Dan Lane to sign in the Gateway system.
- Supplemental Abatement — The Board will review a supplemental tax abatement.
- Motor Vehicle Warrant Commitment #5 — The Board will review Motor Vehicle Warrant Commitment #5.
- All other relevant business (not known 48 hours in advance) — The Board will consider any unexpected topics that could not reasonably be anticipated 48 hours prior to the meeting.
- Schedule for Next Meeting — The Board will determine and schedule the date and time for its next meeting.
