The Fall River Planning Board met on September 9, 2026, to address several old and new business items concerning subdivision approvals, surety releases, and roadway reconstruction applications. The board reviewed a proposal by Tiverton Investments, LLC to reconstruct approximately 550 feet of roadway on Spring Street extending into Tiverton, Rhode Island, utilizing pervious asphalt for stormwater management. Due to outstanding engineering and maintenance concerns raised by City Engineer Daniel Aguiar, the matter was tabled to October to allow for a technical working meeting between the applicant and city staff.
The board also tabled an incomplete roadway reconstruction application for wooded lots off Bark, Norwood, and Monarch Streets, as well as a surety release request for the Highland Woods subdivision pending final review. In other actions, the board approved the release of covenants on lots 1 through 14 of the King Philip’s Estate subdivision (Princeton Circle) in exchange for a $200,000 letter of credit from BayCoast Bank, and endorsed an Approval Not Required (ANR) Form A plan for 311 Crescent Street. The board concluded the meeting by adopting the 2027 meeting calendar and approving the August 12, 2026 meeting minutes.
